Challenge 6 – An inspiration from Anita

Anita wrote an email asking me if she should send me the card itself or just a picture. I politely said just the picture please. Man!! How I wish I’d said she absolutely needed to send me the card! Such a sweet card. See see! :)

"Hi, I’m Anita from Kolkata, married with two lovely kids.  I’m very passionate about crafting since my childhood days. I entered into blog world in June last year and believe me, I had no idea as to what a blog was. While surfing through the net, i came across the blog crazy about atcs, and that was the beginning. I made my blog and since then, it has become an addiction. Not only have I learnt new tricks and tips, but have made several friends right across the globe.

It is really amazing that in spite of not meeting anyone, I feel close to so many of my blog friends. Blogging has given me a sense of satisfaction that I never felt before. I had few craft tools, never knew what is a cuttlebug and spellbinders, did not have single stamp. did not know how to post in blog and had no clue what was vintage, or distressing or how to link back to challenges. That was a year back. shalini, juhi, rachana, kavitha, spardha, these people helped learn how to blog. Hey thanks girls. whatever I make, the entire inspiration comes from all my friends out there on my screen. I just hope that we meet someday and have a crafting blast! what do you say! I firmly believe that, there is no limit to learning. Age is no bar in learning and if you think you can , you will be able to do it. Also there is nothing in this world, one cannot do. Never lose sight of your dreams and they will be true one day. I dream of having my own craft store and I know that I will have one some day.

Picture 281 Now something about my card. This is my first card as a DT and that’s something really great. I’ve tried to follow the theme, Hearts and hugs, and spent almost two days on it.

Picture 277
This is a tri shutter card and I’ve used CB hearts embossing folders as the background. All the images are downloaded from the net, coloured with water colour pencils and then hand cut. The white flowers are mini retro flowers and the sentiments are from fiskars and heat embossed. The Ms punch garden trellis is used as a fence.
So, do play along and share your creativity with all of us. Good Luck!!"

Now, what did I tell you.. isn’t that card super sweet or not! Look at all the detailing – the lamb, the rabbit, the butterfly – all of them adding the perfect backdrop for that sweet couple. Aww!! so cute!

Do visit Anita’s blog at leave some love as soon as she posts it on her blog too.

Thanks a lot Anita for providing this super cute inspiration :)

Cheers,

Jaya
